I have finished both rounds and am now strictly dueling the master. What I can’t figure out is how he beats me with so many magic points. How are these acquired? I feel like my chains are as long as his but every time his magic points are double mine even after they multiply it by 2. I am confused. Does anyone know?

I have been dueling the master as well and have found that he always has more collected magic points then me. I counted once and found that he had at least 20 points more than he was supposed to have. I am sure that anyone dueling has also realized that even when you win, it is not by much, even though you thought it would be.
