The sixty levels provide nice long playing time, and each day comes with a different little story (for example, nearby bowling alley invaded by skunk, with disgruntled bowlers ending their interrupted evening with ice cream). I enjoyed this feature, and at a time when some recent imported games utterly massacre our language, the fact that the English was pretty uniformly good helped add to the comfort. Cheerful 50s graphics were a plus, kind of like watching an “I Love Lucy” episode, and the 50s-style music was relaxing, though, after 40 levels or so, kind of repetitive. The biggest plus, however, was the considerable challenge of getting orders right for impatient customers. In later levels, you have to supply complex desserts like three-scoop cones with toppings correctly and quickly. Bungled orders must be recycled, which subtracts from profits. I also liked strategizing about just how long to leave the money on the counter, when a caffeine boost would do the most good, and the order in which of the good selection of upgrades should be purchased. The game’s two downers were slow initial speed, and the heroine’s only being able to use one hand at a time. With bratty prom queens and disgruntled Bingo ladies seconds from storming out, returning to the preparation area for every single dish is majorly frustrating! Didn’t care for this one, kinda Stand-o-Food with 50’s theme and meh graphics. Too sloooooow.
I downloaded Ice Cream Tycoon awhile back because I liked the concept. After twenty minutes of playing, I unistalled it. Not worth my time.

It does have an upgrade that speeds her forever, it’s the wooden floor. Save up and purchase it. I think it was $200,it makes a big difference in her speed.
Once you buy the wooden floor also upgrade your coffee machine and she’ll be even faster.
