Reflexive’s Richochet series are truly great, so as a loyal fan I bought The Great Tree. Not real enthusiastic about it, though.

Gameplay doesn’t seem related to the story
(generally I don’t feel the need for stories
    anyway).

Gameplay gives me a headache after a while. Screens are dark and the gotcha things are hard to concentrate on. Most games I’m happy to play a failed screen over and over until I get it, but here I get sick and tired of being nabbed by a stinging toad or something.

And, the idea of a tree being nourished by pollen is so botanically weird that it keeps bugging me.
Why couldn’t they have had it needing water, or fertilizer, or sunshine? Or if it’s a cannibal tree - which I don’t think exists - feed it insects.

This game started out great, but then gets old really fast. I quit after playing for less than 30 mins.
